Hey there!
I’m looking forward to a new round, an online craft seminar. We had a blast last time! I’ve heard all good things from those who took part.
This round will take a different form, as I keep evolving my approach, hoping to share all I’ve got and help writers on the way up find their way forward.
I’ve got three books out, and have placed essays and stories in hot spots like “Modern Love,” (NYTs) the Paris Review, Oregon Humanities, The Sun and more. You can do it! It’s about working, studying, writing. I’ve had work go viral and included in anthologies.
There are no semesters, no terms, it’s not a school year—which is to say, there’s no guaranteed “next time”—I schedule these sprints based on interest (people ask!) and the flexibility of my schedule. Which is to say…now is the time! Jump in.
Let’s talk about stories, sentences, structure. Let’s talk about the secrets of “Dangerous Writing,” and the aesthetics and the short cuts (wait! Ha! There might not be any shortcuts? Maybe, maybe…)
Are you ready to deeply consider the craft of writing?
I am. I’m here for it.

Hi Monica,
Sorry I'm slow responding. This sounds great. Your workshops are fun learning spaces. Unfortunately, the dates overlap with family things pre-planned. But I love that you open up your workshops to an open geography of writers. I hope things are well with you. Happy Summer.
take care
Rob
Monica, I’d love to talk to you about this! Sounds very cool.
