For those who are writing, reading, being, taking notes, journaling, reflecting, howling at the moon, walking in the rain, waiting for the snow, mixing a drink, mixing a mocktail, counting steps...
My main goals are to write an essay targeted at getting into Modern Love and complete a draft of my first novel. Secondary goals will be to network in my local area because I don't live in Portland. I have signed up for the 3 writing groups that Neva suggested (and a bonus one). These are just sessions where we write together on our own projects. I also will continue to write short stories while I go to Portland for a weekly in-person workshop. I find short stories are the best way to try new things and get quick feedback.
The goal is to finish the project by the end of the year. But I believe its going to take 2. Have doubled my writing time per day when its possible.
Gosh I’m having fun with Substack! Writing a small essay a week. It’s taking up a lot of space in my head, though.
